Hi, thanks for coming by. Lets have some coffee

Peter Parker has no chill

Like, he never chills. He is always up to something. Not evil things of course but everything else. Depending on what comic or series/movie you look at, Peter Parker is busy. It might be School, University, working a job, taking photos or fighting bad guys. It seems like the 24h of each day is not enough. Give him magically 30h a day, he would fill it up with more of what he is already doing. It seems, it is almost a super power itself: making the best out of your time. Or timemaxxing as contemporary studs would call it (just in case you didn’t cringe today).

This is far cooler than his „Peter-tingle“, super strength or web shooting. It seems, except fighting bad guys in hand to hand combat, this is just as a foundation to his impact as the other super powers. All the tinkering with tech, the research, it helps forming him as a capable person. All that despite daily life like work or school, which he also gives it all (or at least tries to). I imagine it as either doing something towards a goal or if it’s purely leisure, he enjoys the fuck out of it. For a life without superhero business, it would look not much different: It would be following a hobby, a true hobby, something where you can get into so deep, you forget time. Something to be passionate about. And it can be anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s gardening, football, Warhammer 40k or skincare. (Physical training also but let’s put that aside for today. We will go running tomorrow ;))

But a lot of people don’t do that. After work and getting chores done, it’s just crashing on the sofa, watching TV while doomscrolling (Watching TV only counts as a hobby if you really hunting certain movies, appreciate the art of it, perhaps even track what you watch and want to watch, film makers are known names).

Why don’t people do things more often that really lightens them up while doing it? At the end, you feel way better than before. The initial low energy, that leads to not doing it in the first place, can be misleading. We should still go for it. Peter Parker would.

It is such a great Super Power. And it is a super power everyone could get. One that everyone can get, Thanos fingersnap style. Like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVQNc2XfCPk
